UDV-1000 Ultrasonic Doppler Velocimeter

 
Theory:  
 
The UDV-1000 probe transmits a continuous ultrasonic wave into the flow. Part of the wave is backscattered by suspending particles traveling with the flow. The backscattered wave has a frequency shift comparing with the transmitted wave. This shift is the so-called Doppler shift, which is proportional to the flow velocity.

The backscattered signal is picked up by the probe. It is later amplified and demodulated, so that a Doppler signal is obtained. By estimating the spectrum of the Doppler signal, we are able to derive the Doppler frequency shift and the spectrum bandwidth, thus to obtain flow velocity and turbulence intensity information.

The UDV-1000 employees an Intel 68332 microprocessor and a C32 DSP chip to accomplish real-time measurement of flow velocity. Click Here for more details.

Uses:
UDV-1000 instrument is a multifunctional intelligent flow meter. It can be mainly used to measure clean water flow velocity and muddy water flow velocity for hydraulic scientific research, hydraulic model testing and environmental monitoring.

Unique Features:
